Leader:         John Durraant

Attendees:  Almira Ross; Jeff Nutbeem, Suzanne Cauchi; Rahel Pierre; Sarah Arrow

Discussion Points
  • How to develop best practices
  • Brainstorming
  • How to declare the kind of help you need or are willing to give;
  • What kind of help is ecademy well suited or poorly suited for
Other networks which are more suited to this need.
Thoughts of the Discussion Leader

What were the conclusions?
Ecademy is useful for certain kind of advice but due to the confidential disclosure issue it is not a good platform for discussion detailed business problems

Ecademy is good for:
  • Technical questions
  • Marketing; Sales; Promotionsl & SEO advice – e.g. Ask Linda Club
  • Who do you know questions – e.g. Andy Lopata’s ‘who do you know who’ club
*Also see Steven Healey’s ‘Small Business Forum’ club.

Useful to phrase problems as opportunities for others...
Other networking organisations exist which are conducive to this question:

*BlackStar offers chaired meetings where members are helped.  These are structured in terms of time slots and topics...   Depends on quality of Chairperson.
