- The interactions with members including
spamming, perceived spamming
(autoresponders), and perceived bullying.
- Ecademy.com is not seen as being a user
friendly site and due to its size and
complexity is often overwhelming.

What is going to happen next?
Business networking is an incredibly competitive
industry both online and offline. It is in the
interests of all members, and definitely the
managers/owners that Ecademy grows rapidly,
and that new members in particularly feel
welcome and valued, not like lost sheep being
targeted by the wolves.
Andrew Sansom will adapt this Session Report
to be a front page blog on Ecademy, and will
specifically draw the attention of management
to the blog.
What were the conclusions?
The behavioural issues can be addressed on an
individual basis, if serious or repeated, but also
informally as a group, as some people may not
be aware they are seen as spamming, bullying
etc.
The useability issues may require more action.
This could include:
- Formalising the roles of “buddies” including
making them paid roles
- Issuing a formal welcome to every new
member which includes links to the help
section, to the training videos, to new
members club, and possibly a designated
buddy
Or add an “Ask Ecademy” function specifically
for new members so they can ask “silly
questions” without appearing silly.
